Through well-choreographed workshops, teams can break through boredom and make real progress as they come together in fun and meaningful ways to prepare for, manage, and thrive through change.

Our workshops utilize proven human-centered design frameworks that create spaces for high visual engagement, either online or in-person.

Why workshop? It starts with change.

Leadership Change

New leadership can force a team to uncomfortably reconcile with what is new and what stays the same. Workshop creates a space for leaders to co-create a vision with their team, resulting in a big boost of team trust and security about the future.

Sudden growth

Scaling up quickly requires building new teams while forcing existing teams to adapt, feeding uncertainty around long-term sustainability. Use workshop not as a band-aid, but as a means of insurance to protect your team from disillusion and exhaustion.

Rebranding

A brand rollout requires critical preliminary work within teams to create connection to “the why.” Workshops can quickly eliminate any confusion around an organizations’ brand story. Teams can work together to clarify their vision way before any sketch or design review.

New investors, new time demands

New resources may change the course of product or service development path or pace. Put those resources to work quickly in a design sprint workshop that allows your team to ideate, prototype, and test new products or services in record time.

Changes in work norms

Hybrid and remote work continues to wreak havoc within teams who have not established ownership around how to effectively work together. Workshop creates a space to surface experiences and collaboratively build new ways to accommodate employee and business needs.

Changes in team identity

“Who are we anymore?” Distributed or remote teams can evolve into team-in-name-only, with deeper cultural disconnects that can drive destructive patterns over time. Creative online workshops can help teams hone in on their mission, task, or sense of purpose quickly, while breaking through Zoom meeting monotony.

Innovation is the ability to see change as an opportunity, not a threat.

Who can workshop?

Leadership teams. Product teams. Boards of directors. Non-profit consortiums. Marketing teams. Corporate divisions. Start-up teams. Design teams. Planning teams. Ad hoc committees. Cross-cut teams (the best) where different levels of stakeholders who share a common goal are represented.

How long are workshops?

They can be planned for a half-day to a full week. They can be online or on-site. New Bleu Works has experience in many models including Design Sprint and tailors to specific group scenarios.

What is design-centric?

Design-centric is human-centered, an established approach that considers the multiple layers of human experience while problem solving, focusing on the unmet needs of the customers or constituents you are serving. Design-centric also encourages visual thinking and embraces an iterative creative process. It supports the refinement of multiple solutions through iterative change and testing versus a solution created with a one-and-done approach.

While embracing empathy and employing design processes, teams can explore freely and have fun all while making meaningful progress through collaboration.

How it works

PHASE 1

Pre-Workshop Kick-off & Planning

At this stage, we align on project milestones to determine how we’ll best work together. We’ll set up stakeholder interviews and determine support materials and logistics. Key to success is determining “the why” and clearly communicating participants’ frame of reference. I’ll work closely with you to advise on any pre-workshop communications so that your team is encouraged and prepared to work collaboratively and productively.

PHASE 2

Workshop Design & Delivery

I’ll assemble a facilitation team and design an experience that is inclusive and engaging. Your team has the answers. It is through workshop where I will surface your team’s creativity and vision. Each workshop is unique, even if a model is consistently employed. As a facilitator, I am trained to adapt to the many variables teams present, leading them through both discomfort and discovery.

PHASE 3

Post-Workshop Follow-Through

This is where the rubber meets the road. Delivering a workshop slide deck is only the first part of follow-through. With a designed workshop artifact, I work with you to conduct a systems analysis to help identify where your workshop action items live and how the workshop energy is channeled towards your team’s future work to be done. My follow-through delivery is a mix of campaign building and knowledge management.
